New Job!

OK...so the title is misleading...I don't have enough energy to type (coherently) all about it, just know that so far I LOVE IT (which is not surprising given how miserable I was at my other job). It's really cool to be around a bunch of like-minded people again. For example, I saw chilean seabass on the menu and I wasn't the first to FREAK OUT!!!!!!!!!! If you don't understand what I'm talking about...click on the "Take a Pass on Chilean Seabass" link on the left...then you'll get it. Yeah, I'm passionate about what kinds of seafood to eat...and now I'm not the only one! I'm also not the only one who gets pissed about non-native species escaping into other streams or who gets excited about neat ecological interactions...it's kinda weird but definitly cool at the same time.

The people there are super nice too, it's a pretty cool environment. Our VP just hung out with us yesterday and chatted me up (as did the HEAD of HR who just happens to be in Walnut Creek this week) and then today, or VP just took us to lunch today because she was still in town.

That's it for tonight, I gotta get up at 5:00 am so I'm off to shower and bed!
